Job Overview
Reed Online has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering management information (MI) and performing balance sheet reconciliations for one of our group’s subsidiaries, Reed Business School. Additionally, you will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Accounts department, including managing the sales and purchase ledgers, daily cash postings, and bank reconciliations. Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of the Reed Business School accounting function which includes:
- Production of accurate management accounts and financial reports
- Producing accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
- Demonstrating a good understanding of the financial position of the organisation at all times
- Performing revenue calculation (knowledge of dealing with apprenticeship is an advantage)
- Managing all aspects of accounts payable and Banking
- Submit HM Revenue and Customs returns, Companies House returns and VAT returns
- Recommending and implementing process improvements
- Supporting ad-hoc projects
Skills and Experience
- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA
- Proven success in a similar role, producing accounts up to Trial Balance
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting softwares - Workday experience advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work with a degree of autonomy and self-regulation and with a hands on proactive approach
- Ability to produce timely and accurate information in a pressurised environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to develop relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels and challenge where necessary
