Equifind are delighted to partner with an Investment Management firm, based in the City of London.
They are looking to hire a qualified management accountant to join their busy finance team and you will report to the Senior Finance Manager.
Hybrid working is on offer, the team work 2 days a week in the office.
About the role
The Management Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting and performance analysis to support decision-making across the business. This is a pivotal role and will ensure the business operates efficiently within financial targets. You will work closely with senior management team to provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including Accruals, Prepayments and Fixed Assets Register.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost improvement.
- Ensure internal controls and accounting procedures are adhered to for accurate financial reporting.
- Provide financial commentary and variance analysis to highlight key financial performance indicators.
- Reconcile Balance sheet accounts and ensure there no discrepancies in the reports.
- Analyse costs and recommend areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.
- Work with department heads to monitor departmental budgets and control costs.
- Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Work closely with other departments to interpret financial data, enabling better decision-making.
- Support the preparation of annual year-end audits.
- Support the Accounts Assistant with any queries.
- Assist in the development of financial systems and processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes for more efficient financial management.
About you
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- 5 years of experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
