This is an exciting opportunity to manage financial and budgeting processes, prepare detailed financial reports, and implement robust financial controls to drive sustainable growth. You’ll also lead a small, high-performing finance team in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with UK Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and forecasts for all operational areas.
  • Credit Control: Manage the credit control process to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and implement effective credit control policies.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including journal preparation, posting, and closing ledgers in the finance system (Sage).
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and explanations.
  • Cost Management: Analyse and manage operational costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial processing and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to ensure Finance is a valuable business partner and provide financial training and support to non-financial staff as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications: Full qualification in ACCA / CIMA or other equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Experience: Proven track record in a management accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in finance software like Sage, along with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Experience in developing, managing, and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
