Management Accountant - Up to £63,000 plus benefits - Central London/hybrid

My client, a leading high street gambling company with their head office based in Central London, is looking to hire a Management Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation of a Monthly Management reporting pack covering P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow analysis for the group. There will also be the management and compilation of quarterly re-forecasts and the preparation of the forthcoming year's budget.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly Reporting pack to include P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
  • Preparation of quarterly reforecast reports
  • Preparation of Budget, working with historic performance and other company management team members to source data sets to build out a robust budget framework.
  • Flash reporting of revenue to the commercial team, with flagged highlights/action areas.
  • Revenue control and reconciliation: This will involve being responsible for the reconciliation of cash takings to reported revenues, and involve identification of variables and ensure local costs are being accounted for eg; site petty cash, promo marketing etc
  • Monthly Venue Profit & Loss reports for review with the commercial team

Key skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
  • Excel and modelling skills at a very high level
  • Proven ability in running multiple activities and driving projects and tasks to completion.
  • Naturally analytical with a critical mindset
  • Ability to review work and assess/identify inconsistencies before reports are issued
  • Adept at communicating with people at all levels and confidence interacting with different stakeholders, including non-finance.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (Xero experience desired but not essential)
