We are recruiting a Management Accountant on a fixed-term contract until February 2026. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, income modelling, and business partnering with contract teams to ensure accurate invoicing and financial oversight.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage invoicing processes for grants, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
  • Work closely with contract teams, handling monthly meetings and ad hoc queries related to invoicing and reporting.
  • Support quarterly financial reporting, month-end processes, and management accounts preparation, collaborating with Finance Business Partners.
  • Perform reconciliation work, including staff headcount reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing financial transformation.

This role is fully remote, with a requirement to attend in-person meetings once a quarter. The organisation offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to condense hours and adjust working hours. Additional benefits include 27 days annual leave plus flexible bank holidays and employer pension contributions up to 6%.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an Accountant with experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
  • Have expertise in reconciliations, journal postings, and reviewing financial data.
  • Possess strong Excel skills and be comfortable working with complex financial models.
  • Ideally have experience in government reporting or contract-related finance, although commercial or charity sector experience is also valuable.
  • Be proactive in identifying improvements, able to communicate complex financial information clearly, and skilled in relationship-building.
