This is an exponentially growing environment trade and services business based in North London. Through modern processes, they reuse, recycle, and acquire energy from waste, helping reduce emissions. They are continuously acquiring new businesses and expanding operations across the UK.

Due to this growth, they are now looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

This role will be based full-time in the office.

Role

The Management Accountant for this growing environment trade and services business based in North London, will work closely with the Financial Controller in supporting financial reporting. They will also take ownership of the fixed asset register and responsible for other duties including:

  • Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
  • Performing variance analysis and contributing to the commentary around financials.
  • Assist in preparing financial summaries to support decision making by senior leadership.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register accurately.
  • Preparing monthly depreciation schedules and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Track and report on CapEx projects.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
  • Assist in regularly enhancing financial systems and various processes.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support across the wider business.

Profile

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position, should have the following attributes:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar capacity supporting management accounts preparation.
  • Experience with fixed asset register, as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Actively pursuing a recognised qualification e.g. ACCA / CIMA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident with Excel
  • Experience with Access Financials would be advantageous
