SJC Partners are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join an excellent wholesale business in North London on a permanent basis due to continuous growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced individual to manage the organisation's finances, combining both day-to-day financial tasks and strategic planning. The role is hands-on and reports directly to the Finance Manager.We are ideally looking for candidates who are either immediately available or have a short notice period.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare month-end closing processes.
  • Manage intercompany billing and reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including budgets.
  • Present financial reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in implementing and completing assigned tasks.
  • Produce financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Manage tax and banking-related matters.
  • Support audit projects and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Handle official statutory reporting.
  • Oversee the Invoice Discounting facility, including day book entries and reconciliations.
  • Perform ad hoc treasury, purchase ledger duties, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage store reconciliations.
  • Provide financial insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop strategies to reduce business costs and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee financial systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage income and expenditure to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Supervise accounting colleagues and assist with general accounting tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and present financial information to non-finance personnel.
Key Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Experience in the retail or wholesale industry is desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and planning abilities.
  • Highly organised and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
