Phillips Grant Associates are supporting a business based in Angel to recruit for a Management Accountant who will oversee a small team of transactional staff and report to the Finance Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Month End and the Full Management Accounts process for 2 legal entities
  • Track and analyse key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for business improvement
  • Work collaboratively with area managers across 8 UK offices to provide financial insights/reports/variance analysis to ensure alignment with budgetary targets and strategic goals
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions, etc
  • Overseeing the AP function: check and post payable invoices, creditor ledger review, large supplier reconciliations, payment runs
  • Overseeing the AR function: billing, collections, etc
  • Assistance with Annual Statutory Audit - main contact when liaising with auditors
  • Various ad-hoc tasks

Person specification:

  • Must have experience at Management Accountant or Finance Manager level. Some exposure to the property sector would be beneficial but not essential
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Process-orientated and always showing meticulous attention to detail
  • Organised, have excellent time management skills and know what key priorities you need to focus on
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and mature approach and used to handling a high volume of transactions
