Role Management Accountant

Full Time: 12 month Contract

Location: Farringdon

Hybrid: 3 days in the office 09:30am - 17:30pm

Reporting to: Financial Controller

Salary : £38,000 - £40,000

VisionFR are working on behalf of a small creative agency part of a group company based near Farringdon to find a Management Accountant for a 9 - 12 month maternity cover. This role will be supported by a part time Finance Assistant. Ideal start date would be end of October

Key Responsibilities for Management Accountant Role

  • Support the FC in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including monthly and quarterly SOX information to be sent to Head Office
  • Support the FC to ensure that the we adhere to all imposed SOX regulations and policies. This will involve regular review of SOX Control Designs
  • Monthly management of schedules
  • Ownership of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed asset register including depreciation
  • Inputting manual journals during month end close process
  • Assisting the FC in completing the year end statutory audit file
  • Liaise with statutory and SOX auditors as required
  • Intercompany account reconciliations across multi-currencies
  • Provide Paprika training to the wider team including freelancers
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts on a weekly basis
  • Maintaining job ledger including entering/maintaining budgets on Paprika
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Resolving any import / export issues
  • Managing the part time Finance Assistant
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks

Management Accountant Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of SOX and Paprika is a bonus
  • Good organisational skills with a 'hands on approach’ and 'can do’ attitude
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Process driven
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups)
  • Experience using Paprika advantageous but training can be provided
  • Experience working within a large Network/Group beneficial
