Reed Accountancy are working with an established metals trading company to recruit an experienced Management Accountant into their finance team in London. This role involves providing comprehensive financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, with experience in controlling, planning, and reporting within a corporate environment, ideally with metals trading experience.
Day to Day of the role:- Prepare and analyse daily trading profit/loss reports and broker reconciliations.
- Execute month-end reporting tasks, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and management accounts package preparation.
- Support the year-end reporting process and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage tax-related responsibilities, including preparing tax returns and VAT analysis.
- Assist in treasury functions, such as cash management and foreign exposure management.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and weekly cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and regulations.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide support to the team as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Membership in a professional accounting body.
- At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an operational and corporate setting.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with international accounting and taxation laws.
- Proficiency in SAP and Tableau; intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
