What You'll Do

  • Own the Numbers:
    • Take responsibility for key P&L account lines, ensuring accuracy and delivering insightful reporting.
    • Prepare and process month-end cost accruals and analyse performance against budget and prior year.
    • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, resolving variances efficiently.
  • Drive Efficiency:
    • Manage the Fixed Asset Register, report on CAPEX vs. budget, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise spending.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, shorten timelines, and enhance reporting outputs.
  • Deliver Insights:
    • Support ad hoc analysis on sales, costs, and profitability across all business channels.
    • Collaborate with teams to provide meaningful financial insights that drive decision-making.
  • Be a Partner:
    • Build strong relationships across the business, enabling mutual understanding of financial impacts and projections.
    • Work alongside operational teams to deliver commercial value and improve financial capability.
  • Support Growth:
    • Assist with year-end audits and inter-company reconciliations.
    • Deliver accurate daily and weekly sales reporting to inform key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • A self-starter who thrives under pressure and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible during critical periods, such as month-end.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, retail, or consumer-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with systems like Microsoft AX Dynamics, Zap, or Workday.
