We are working with a world-renowned international drink spirits company who are looking for a Temporary Management Accountant who will provide accounts support to the Finance Controller and the wider finance team and to start ASAP. This will be a fully office based role, 40 hours per week from 9.00am-5:30pm:

Key responsibilities

  • Posting of accounting document into the accounting system
  • Checking, coding, and posting supplier invoices into the accounting system
  • Performing Bank (including Merchant) reconciliations
  • Perform monthly Intercompany account reconciliations where needed
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Produce reports which support the decision-making process for department heads (inc. Finance) and Pernod Ricard in a timely manner
  • Liaising with Finance Controller to produce management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, and report on performance to the Financial Planning and Commercial Team
  • Support FP&A Team with annual budgeting and monthly forecast process across responsible area
  • Assist the Finance team with day-to-day transactional processing, bank payments and any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the department as directed by the Finance Controller for other entities across the group
  • Production of Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Ensure accurate and timely close of quarter/month end
  • Support the load of Financials into Group Reporting Tool and provide answers queries
  • Support the Financial Controller with the integration of entities and streamline processes.
  • Business Partnering with the teams to ensure they are aware of financial results and support any queries from them and feed back to the finance teams.

Experience  

  • Strong communicator, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Part Qualified studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification
  • Experience using ERP finance system: Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Possess commercial and business acumen
  • Planning and organising own workload and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Accurate and detail conscious
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel and Microsoft packages
