We are working with a world-renowned international drink spirits company who are looking for a Temporary Management Accountant who will provide accounts support to the Finance Controller and the wider finance team and to start ASAP. This will be a fully office based role, 40 hours per week from 9.00am-5:30pm:
Key responsibilities
- Posting of accounting document into the accounting system
- Checking, coding, and posting supplier invoices into the accounting system
- Performing Bank (including Merchant) reconciliations
- Perform monthly Intercompany account reconciliations where needed
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Produce reports which support the decision-making process for department heads (inc. Finance) and Pernod Ricard in a timely manner
- Liaising with Finance Controller to produce management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, and report on performance to the Financial Planning and Commercial Team
- Support FP&A Team with annual budgeting and monthly forecast process across responsible area
- Assist the Finance team with day-to-day transactional processing, bank payments and any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the department as directed by the Finance Controller for other entities across the group
- Production of Quarterly VAT Returns
- Ensure accurate and timely close of quarter/month end
- Support the load of Financials into Group Reporting Tool and provide answers queries
- Support the Financial Controller with the integration of entities and streamline processes.
- Business Partnering with the teams to ensure they are aware of financial results and support any queries from them and feed back to the finance teams.
Experience
- Strong communicator, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
- Part Qualified studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification
- Experience using ERP finance system: Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle etc.
- Possess commercial and business acumen
- Planning and organising own workload and possess the ability to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Accurate and detail conscious
- Excellent IT skills including Excel and Microsoft packages
