Management Accountant

I am working exclusively with a luxury fashion retail business who is seeking a Management Accountant to join their fast-paced team. Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is broad role covering aspects of commercial finance and management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of budget and forecasting processes - working closely with budget holders and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts including commentary and variance analysis.
  • Monthly management reporting to provide sales analysis, and analyse the stores P&L's
  • Stock management and reconciliations.
  • Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations and analysis.
  • Cost saving analysis and partnering with different divisions to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Liaising with local finance teams on monthly P&L's
  • Perform margin analysis and provide commentary to contribute to decision making.
  • Assisting with any ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and project work to support the wider team and business.

The ideal candidate will be at the final stages/ newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with relevant finance experience working within consumer sectors (retail/ consumer goods/ wholesale) or similar. Candidates must have a 'can do' attitude, with good drive and a hands-on approach due to high growth structure and fast moving processes. Ideally you will have proven business partnering experience, working with stakeholders at all levels and outside of finance. Strong systems experience will be required, including proficient Excel ability with experience with Power BI and NetSuite being preferred but not essential.
