Management Accountant

Partner Financial is collaborating with a dynamic and forward-thinking global Fashion brand, headquartered in Central London. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance, taking responsibility for the preparation and management of monthly financial accounts. An ideal applicant will be a proactive and curious individual, adept at navigating international partnerships and contributing to the company's expansive vision.

Responsibilities:

• Compiling monthly statutory management accounts in compliance with FRS 102 and the month-end checklist.
• Preparing and reviewing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation, covering areas such as inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.
• Preparing the year-end trial balance and overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts by an external party.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of the annual external audit, acting as the primary point of contact for the auditors.
• Supervising the accounts’ payable function, as well as reviewing and approving weekly payments.
• Submitting quarterly UK VAT returns and managing import/export VAT oversight.

The Candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally from an audit background.
• Experience of preparing management accounts and experience in retail/fashion or in wholesale business.
• Ability to identify and drive efficiencies and process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong excel and problem-solving skills.
