Management Accountant - Retail

Cedar is partnered with a well-known retail brand seeking a Part Qualified Management Accountant for their UK head office. The company has expanded significantly through acquisitions and is a household name in both the UK and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock & COGS Reporting - Manage stock-related balances across multiple brands, including stock on hand, cost of goods sold, goods in transit, and stock provisions.
  • Month-End Close - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, oversee payroll processing for stores and central teams, and ensure accurate bonus accruals and variance analysis.
  • Year-End & Audit - Support external auditors, provide documentation, and assist with statutory account disclosures.
  • Process & Systems - Work closely with the finance systems team to ensure seamless ERP integration.
  • Team Support - Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.

Person Specification

  • Working towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Highly organised, able to manage deadlines independently.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Stock experience required; retail or multi-site experience preferred.
