As the new Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Financial Operations: Manage accounts payable and receivable, staff expenses, and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data and control over general ledger accounts.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in line with accounting standards, support corporate tax returns, VAT filings, and collaborate with external accountants to finalize statutory accounts.
- Management Accounting: Assist with budget preparation, cash flow management, and the preparation of management accounts, including variance analysis and identifying key financial trends.
- Process Improvement & Analysis: Review and enhance financial systems and processes while providing ad hoc financial analyses to support decision-making, including profitability, cost analysis, and forecasting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with operations, sales, and senior management to deliver financial insights, prepare board packs, and support business decisions.
As the new Qualified Accountant, you should have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Ideally some post-qualification accounting experience or equivalent practical training.
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, modelling, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Ideally familiarity with accounting software (Sage, Zero, QuickBooks, etc).
This permanent role is Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm and offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000 and great opportunities for progression and further training within the company.
