My client, financial services firm headquartred in London, is looking for a Financial Accountant who will be a key player in their financial operations, from reporting and consolidation to compliance and audit. This role offers an attractive salary range of £40,000 - £45,000 and is based in London.

This is a permanent and full-time role with hybrid working, based in central London.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our client's finance team. You will lead the month-end close process, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and support the preparation of annual financial statements. Your expertise will also be crucial in tax compliance activities and overseeing the implementation of financial systems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead or participate in special financial projects that contribute to strategic initiatives.

  • Lead the month-end close process ensuring all activities are completed timely and accurately.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support in the preparation of the annual financial statements and notes for the Group and subsidiaries.
  • Own the preparation of tax compliance schedules (e.g. VAT) and Corporate tax returns.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems used across the group.
  • Lead or participate in special financial projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, you are either a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). You have at least 2 years' experience in financial accounting and possess strong technical accounting skills with an understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP. Your excellent analytical skills and attention to detail set you apart from others. Furthermore, your proficiency in Excel formulas and/or accounting systems enables you to efficiently manage tasks.

  • Part Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP.
