Partnership Accountant

We are seeking a Partnership Accountant to join our clients central Accounts team, which plays a pivotal role in supporting the business across various accounting and tax matters. This role offers a dynamic work environment and will focus on training and development to aid your career progression.

As a Partnership Accountant, you will be instrumental in supporting our business growth and delivering world-class service.

In essence this role is a fantastic all-round Accountant opportunity which will require an individual with a strong technical accounting background and tax knowledge who can support on managing financial accounting, partnership accounting and tax matters from details transactional work through to strategic initiatives.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Support the Finance Partner on all aspects of financial accounting, partnership accounting, and taxation for the firm’s wider initiatives.
  • Develop specialist knowledge and advise on key accounting and tax matters, developing internal control procedures and controls.
  • Take ownership of technical accounting and tax issues and transactions, continuously reviewing and improving internal procedures and controls to manage governance and risks.
  • Oversee the group-wide statutory audit and the annual statutory accounts including LLP consolidated financial statements and subsidiary accounts.
  • Manage important and confidential partner schedules to manage their profit share entitlements and drawings.
  • Handle partner activity administration including quarterly distributions, new members, departing members, and ad hoc partner requests.
  • Work with external accountants on preparation and review of LLP partnership tax computation and return.
  • Liaise with external accountants for preparation of annual partner tax provisions/reserves.
  • Review and approve VAT returns, and annual PSA submission.
  • Advise on taxation implications across global mobility of employees, IR35, and other firm initiatives.
  • Implement treasury management and treasury strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3-4 years PQE.
  • Experience within a partnership environment is desirable.
  • Essential understanding of Limited Liability Partnership / Professional Services.
  • Excellent proficiency in technical financial knowledge and a background or interest in direct and indirect taxes.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and proactive with the ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Highly analytical, diligent with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong and confident interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information concisely to non-financial partners and staff.
  • Advanced Excel skills and high level of computer literacy.
