Senior Private Client Tax & Trusts Advisor - Legal Practice - £70k-£120kManager, Senior Manager or Junior Director Level - Central London (Hybrid Working)

A well-established, full-service legal practice located in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Tax & Trusts Advisor to join its thriving Private Client team. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior-level position within a highly collaborative, partner-led firm that offers meaningful work, autonomy, and the chance to help shape the future of its tax offering.

About the FirmThe firm is a single-office legal practice with approximately 60 staff, including 10 partners, offering specialist services across Private Client, Commercial, Property, Employment, and Litigation. The firm is known for its open, collegiate culture and supportive environment-an ethos that underpins its success and long-standing client relationships. As part of its growth strategy, the firm will transition to a limited company structure in April 2025.

The Private Client department is led by a highly experienced partner who works closely with high-net-worth individuals and families on complex wills, estates, and trust matters. The department currently consists of a small, focused tax team and is now looking to bring more work in-house that is currently outsourced to external advisers.

The OpportunityThis new role is key to expanding the firm's internal tax and trusts capability. The successful candidate will work directly with the Head of Private Client Tax and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of matters. The scope of work will include:

Advising on UK residency and domicile matters

Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning and reporting

Preparation and review of trust and estate accounts

Tax compliance and advisory services for UK trusts and estates

Some exposure to offshore trust structures (beneficial but not essential)

Responding to HMRC enquiries and liaising with external advisors where needed

Supporting clients through complex life events, ensuring a high level of empathy and discretion

If appropriate to your experience level, contributing to business development, including cross-selling within the firm and generating new client relationships

This is an ideal role for someone looking to step into a senior advisory position with a clear path to further growth, influence, and impact.

Who We're Looking ForThis role would suit a senior private client tax professional-whether currently in practice, accountancy, or a multi-disciplinary advisory firm-who wants to work in a setting that values deep client relationships and quality of service over volume. We're looking for:

Strong technical knowledge of relevant UK tax legislation

A background in trust and estate accounting

CTA and/or STEP qualification (preferred, not essential)

Experience with high-value, complex cases involving UK and international elements

A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills

A team player who values collaboration and shared success

Working Style

Hybrid working policy - typically three days in the office (near Marylebone, with flexibility available)

Close-knit team with a strong emphasis on support, knowledge-sharing, and professional integrity

Face-to-face interviews preferred as part of the firm's careful and considered hiring approach

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, reflective of experience and seniority

Discretionary bonus scheme

Opportunity to help shape the direction of the firm's in-house tax services

Long-term career prospects within a stable and growing firm
