Talentedge are actively recruiting for Production Accountant for a growing TV/Film Production company in Soho paying £45k. The hybrid working is 30days office based.
Duties include:
o Set Productions up on Eclipse
o Do all the pre prep work, to ensure a smooth hand over to the external Production Accountancy team
o Monitor all spend on the productions as they progress through the shoot phase, analysing any variance posting, updating the Head Office management team weekly.
o Work with production managers and Accountants to ensure accurate financial control of all production costs
o Take responsibility for final reports & paperwork once the production shoot is complete
o Full financial closure of completed productions
o Assist with Audit information
o Production Cashflow Management
o Preparation and filing of monthly Head Office VAT, PAYE returns
o Preparation of Distribution Statements
o Submission of the Payroll file for External Processing
o Support of Pre and Post Production Accountancy needs of the business.
o Assist the Head of Finance with preparation of monthly management accounts.
o General responsibility for overseeing financial matters within the company as they arise.
Candidates must have (s):
o Be able to demonstrate a financial awareness and understanding of basic accounting principles
o A strong understanding of systems including Excel, and willingness to learn to use new, production-specific systems.
o Experience with Eclipse and Xero is essential.
o An ability to work under pressure to achieve challenging goals.
o An ability to identify potential problems and to implement solutions in advance.
o A willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
o An ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously (with fast changing demands) and prioritise tasks accordingly.
