We are partnered with a construction group based in the City of London on the search for a Project Accountant on a full time permanent basis. On offer is hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

As Project Accountant, you will be the link between sites and the finance team, working to ensure transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The role plays an important part in ensuring the commercial and financial reports reflect the performance of the projects accurately.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Monthly cost accruals and journal postings
  • Process contract sales transactions and undertake credit control for invoiced works and retention
  • Assist sites in monthly reporting on the financial performance of the projects
  • A point of contact for site to get help and support; investigate and resolve queries relating to the processing of costs and value
  • Supporting and working with sites to ensure they follow corporate process and procedures
  • Attend monthly Project Review Meetings and provide management with insight into the key aspects of the financial performance of the projects
  • VAT calculations for projects
  • Assist in compiling information for external auditors

The ideal person for this role will be studying towards a formal accounting qualification (ideally CIMA) and have sufficient experience in the Construction industry.
