This is an international consultancy business based in London. They focus primarily on the development & governance sector providing world-class expertise and solutions in several areas.
Due to further acquisitions, they are now looking to expand their finance project team by recruiting a Project Accountant to join the business.
Role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Project Accountant will be responsible for the operational and transactional aspects of the finance department. This position will take on a number of varied duties including:
- Financial support to the project teams for monthly client invoicing and project reconciliation.
- Processing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting the monthly reporting deadlines for Management information.
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
- Assisting with supplier invoice processing and payments.
- Maintaining system data around customers, suppliers and expenses.
- Supporting audit process including relevant queries.
- Continuously maintain and support regular process improvements.
- Contribute to other ad hoc company tasks as and when required.
Profile
The ideal profile for this Project Accountant role in London, should have the following attributes:
- Proven experience within a similar Project Accounting capacity, ideally from professional services
- Experience using ERP systems e.g. Business Central
- Confident with Excel (Pivot tables / VLOOKUPs etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- AAT qualified or similar would be beneficial
- Used to working with multiple currencies
Salary / Package
£42,000 to £48,000 *DOE + additional benefits including:
