A newly created role within a London Wealth manager for a qualified Accountant.

This is a full-time on-site role located in the city of London. As an Accountant within an IFA, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

You will also provide financial analysis and guidance to support decision-making processes. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this role.

We seek a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join a dynamic accountancy practice. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations.

This is an important role to integrate Accountancy services with the Financial Advisory advice to retail and professional clients. Face to face interaction will be an important part of this role, along with developing the proposition to market to existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Ad hoc administrative jobs, including registration for HMRC services like PAYE, Self-assessment, VAT, and company registration, among others.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assisting in completing Year-end financial accounts for most business types, including sole proprietors and limited companies.
  • Assisting in preparing tax returns, including Personal Self-Assessment, Partnership, and CT600 returns.
  • Liaising with HMRC on clients' behalf and advising clients on any investigations.
  • Ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Direct client advisory on payroll and VAT matters.

Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Professional certification (e.g., ACA, CPA, ACCA)

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. Interviews available immediately.
