Ambition are working with a highly established accountancy firm with their recruitment for a Qualified Audit Senior. This is great opportunity to join the Audit Not for Profit (NFP) and Charities team within their Heathrow office. The key duties will include;

  • Planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners.
  • Preparing reports, accounts and other assignments as required.
  • Leading on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget.
  • Co-ordinate planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm.
  • Supervising and developing trainees
  • Directly reporting into the Audit partner in some circumstances
  • Potential promotion opportunities to Assistant Manager level
  • Business development - Promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects.

Ideal candidate:

  • ACA / ACCA / Qualified
  • Experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice
  • Knowledge / experience of charities reporting and auditing desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working within a team on external audit assignments from planning to fieldwork and completion stages under International Standards on Auditing
  • Strong communication skills with senior staff and clients
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office suite - Intermediate/Advanced user of Word and Excel.
  • Experience of preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP, and ideally Charities SORP
