Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, this role will allow an ambitious regulatory accountant with some experience to work in a fast-growing SME Bank providing opportunities to develop, learn and progress as the business expands.

The role will entail:

  • Produce monthly and quarterly regulatory reports accurately and within designated timelines.
  • Evaluate, establish, and uphold controls related to regulatory reporting, including data reconciliations, cross-checks, variance analysis, and investigations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of regulatory and MI data feeds, financial information, and other inputs. Streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of a new regulatory reporting system to enhance automation.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining proper controls and robust documentation for all regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the execution of new business/product changes and upcoming regulatory modifications.
  • Assist the Head of Regulatory Reporting in producing Pillar 3 disclosure, ICAAP, ILAAP and RRP documents. Including stress testing scenarios.
  • Enhance understanding of capital and liquidity reporting requirements across the organization, providing regulatory support to other functions as needed.

QualificationsThe successful candidate will likely possess the following (or equivalent qualifiers):

  • EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • Qualified accountant with minimum 2 years' experience
  • Good A Level and GCSE Level grades
  • ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification
  • EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Minimum 2/3 years financial services experience within banking.
  • Good understanding of liquidity, capital, market and credit risk.
  • Experience with the implementation of regulatory reporting is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Effective communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • A knack for detail and accuracy, with an ability to work under pressure

  • The job holder carries out assignments assigned by Head of Regulatory Reporting
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
