Role: Revenue Accountant / Commercial Accountant

VisionFR is acting on behalf of a fabulous design agency who are now seeking an ambitious Revenue Accountant tojoin their growing business . You will work closely with the owner of the business and the Finance Manager during this amazing growth period. Roles requires someone with strong commercial insight and ability to help with implementation of Paprika software.
Revenue Accountant Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monthly Billing cycle - responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billings in accordance with billing instructions for allocated clients
- WIP management and analysis ensuring all third party costs are billed on a timely basis, costs from the suppliers are on the correct jobs and jobs are reconciled and cleared down.
- Set up & maintain clients and projects on system
- Review client contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition method
- Ensure revenue pipelines are completed correctly.
- Prepare and maintain month revenue reconciliation schedules - accrued and deferred revenue journals
- Hold regular meetings with account managers, monitoring and reconciling estimated vs. actual 3rd Party costs per project, flagging overspend as soon as it occurs, and discussing aged debt
- Review Freelancer and third party POs
- Support the transition of accounting software from Quickbooks to Paprika
- Help implement new processes on Paprika for better commercial insight
- Prepare staff utilisation, client profitability, revenue performance and flash growth profit reports
Revenue Accountant Key Attributes Required:
- Strong Revenue Recognition experience
- Commercially minded
- Previous experience in a creative, design, marketing or similar business
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- P/Q ACCA / CIMA - or QBE
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets
- Paprika experience highly desirable
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment but remains calm under pressure
- Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proactive, creative, positive, can-do attitude
