VisionFR is excited to be working with a global branding agency with HQ in London, recruit a Revenue Accountant. They are looking for someone to come to the role with a positive, can-do attitude, strong organisational skills and keen to work in a collaborative team.

Revenue Accountant Key Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition

  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards
  • Review contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition method
  • Prepare and maintain revenue recognition schedules via the Green Board
  • Monthly reconciliation of WIP and N/L posting of deferred revenue journal
  • Ensure deferred revenue balance sheet figures are split at client/job level, and ensure all closed projects have a zero Deferred Billings balance.
  • Oversee account/project managers input into PO Trackers and create WIP journals so agency and third-party revenue is recognised in the month revenue is earned for partially completed projects.
  • Review and approval freelancer and third party POs and Payables
  • Ensure third party pass-through costs do not exceed estimates
  • Assist Account/Project Managers with daily client or budget tracker queries

Billings and Collections

  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing with full detail (currency, PO number, client entity)
  • Maintain and update billing schedules for each client
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts in Xero and produce weekly AR reports.
  • Credit Control
  • Intercompany billing

Business Insights & Data Analysis

  • Prepare the following insights - staff utilisation, client profitability, revenue performance and flash gross profit reports
  • Support MDs to forecast full year revenue and to understand the revenue left to find to hit the budget.
  • Participate in the development of revenue process improvements
  • Work closely with the financial accountant to provide commentary relating to revenue and freelancer costs

The Revenue Accountant will have the following Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong revenue accounting skills and experience
  • Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment
  • Prior experience with a social media creative, marketing or communications agency
  • A strong communicator, team player, and obsessed with detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Proactive, highly organised, creative and flexible
  • Excellent with Google Sheets and experienced with monday.com (or similar)
  • Living in commute of London
