This role is crucial in supporting our Senior Revenue Accountant and client-facing teams, focusing on revenue recognition and project invoicing. The ideal candidate will be studying towards ACCA/CIMA and have at least 2-3 years experience with WIP/ Revenue recognition
This role is a permanent position paying between £35,000 - £45,000 plus study support + hybrid working.
Day-to-day of the role:- Implement and ensure compliance with internal revenue recognition policies.
- Partner with client-facing teams to manage finance-related project activities including setting up new clients, projects, budgets, and invoicing.
- Assist in preparing financial information to identify risks and key elements of projects.
- Lead monthly follow-up meetings with Client Managers
- Prepare and review reports for Retainer and Fixed Price Revenue Recognition
- Create and manage invoicing plans according to contracts, ensuring timely issuance and approval of invoices.
- Manage unbilled projects and liaise with client-facing teams to resolve invoicing issues.
- Prepare weekly Work In Progress (WIP) reports and manage WIP, escalating issues as necessary.
- Assist with month-end revenue closing
- Reconcile open client balances and assist with closing completed project codes.
- 2 years experience with WIP/ Revenue recognition
- Currently studying towards an accounting qualification -preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
