Robert Half is partnering with a global consultancy in the search of a qualified UK Revenue and Cost of Sales Accountant to join the Finance Function.

Job Title: Revenue and Cost of Sales Accountant

Salary: £60,000-£75,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid, Central London

We are seeking a skilled and diligent Revenue and Cost of Sales Accountant to join our finance team. As a Revenue and Cost of Sales Accountant, you will manage all aspects of revenue recognition, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for recognising revenue from different income streams, reconciling revenue accounts, preparing monthly reports, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, and collaborating closely with different departments to integrate financial data.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Ensuring accurate recognition and reporting of company revenues.
  2. Analysing revenue trends and forecasting future revenues.
  3. Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.
  4. Performing account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
  5. Ensuring strict compliance with revenue recognition policies and relevant accounting standards.
  6. Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams in revenue generation strategies.
  7. Contributing to annual audits.
  8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting procedures and regulations.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Qualified status preferred (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA)
  2. Proven extensive experience as a Revenue Accountant or similar role.
  3. NetSuite experience preferred.
  4. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, particularly in revenue recognition.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
