Purpose of the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant with experience in property management, looking to advance their career in real estate finance. The successful candidate will play a key role within the finance team, working closely with the Financial Controller, and taking responsibility for accounts receivable functions while also supporting the broader accounts team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lease Management & Rent Collection:

    • Update and monitor the lease management system, ensuring the accurate raising of monthly/quarterly rent and service charge demands.
    • Manage rent collections and ensure the timely receipt of payments from tenants.
  • Tenant Relations:

    • Address tenant disputes and queries in a professional and timely manner.
    • Manage and reconcile tenant debtor accounts to ensure the smooth preparation of management accounts.
  • Financial Reporting & Process Improvement:

    • Adapt, develop, and improve financial reporting processes to meet the needs of a growing business.
    • Work closely with the property management team to address internal queries and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Financial Planning Support:

    • Assist with the production and analysis of business plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, providing necessary financial information to support the company's strategic goals.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
  • Qualifications:
    • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in the property industry is highly desirable.
    • Strong experience with MS Excel is essential.
    • Familiarity with Bluebox Property Management Software or similar is a plus but not required.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with tenants and colleagues across the business.
    • Ability to work on your own initiative, managing time effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
    • Proven ability to support the finance and property teams in a collaborative environment.
Hours of Work
  • Office-based: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Old Bond Street, London)
