- Training and guiding junior staff, including direct reports and broader team support.
- Acting as a role model through professionalism, conduct, and technical expertise
- Liaising with clients to manage VAT returns, ensuring work is delegated, reviewed, and submitted on time—keeping clients informed well in advance of deadlines.
- Handling ad-hoc client queries with clarity and efficiency.
- Drafting accounts and ensuring high standards of accuracy.
- Managing workflows using CCH workflow software and proactively updating tasks, especially during managerial absences.
- Assisting with billing targets and supporting workflow management across teams.
- Providing training on accounting software to enhance team capabilities.
- Managing bookkeepers’ schedules and time allocation.
- Proactively supporting managers with tasks and sharing your expertise where needed.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- ACA/ACCA part-qualified or finalist.Â
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage deadlines and workflows proactively.
- Any prior managerial or supervisory experience is a bonus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with CCH workflow tools is advantageous).
