Semi Senior Accountant

Audit Exposure | ACCA finalist | Central London

Reed are currently recruiting on behalf of a 4-partner practice based near Liverpool Street, who are looking for a Semi Senior to join their expanding Accounts and Audit team. The position will be about 25% audit, but does not require any previous experience of this. As a result it is a great opportunity for any ACCA studiers, currently in an accounts-focused role who are looking for exposure to audit. 

The firm has 4 partners, and a total headcount of just under 30 people. The Audit and Accounts department makes up around half of this headcount and is split between two teams. There is a great social atmosphere in the office, with most people coming into the office 5 days a week. However, there would be scope to discuss one day working from home following probation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of year end accounts
  • Bookkeeping and VAT returns for a very small number of clients
  • Audit - 25% of the role 
  • Reviewing work completed by juniors in your team.
  • Your main clients will be in the shipping sector, also with exposure to clients including architects, retail, and recruitment agencies

The ideal candidate will be an ACCA finalist, with at least 3 years experience in an accounts role in practice.
