Senior Accountant Central London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)£45,000 to £52,000

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting this highly regarded and long-established firm of chartered accountants based out of newly refurbished open plan offices in the heart of Central London, that are eager to appoint an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to complement the existing small but highly successful team.

The firm have an enviable portfolio of clients (Limited Companies, sole traders, and partnerships) spanning a diverse range of industries and of varying turnovers between £200k to £7m.

Role Requirements -

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts in accordance with FRS102-1A and FRS1205.
  • Computations for corporation tax CT600 returns and onward submission to the HMRC
  • Supporting the Tax Manager with the production of self-assessment tax returns for company directors, sole traders and ad-hoc individuals
  • Manage and be responsible for all aspects of the production, presentation, and submission of Client VAT Returns, in accordance with client/statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any queries and offer advice where appropriate. Deal with the HMRC on client's behalf.

Person Requirements -

  • ACCA/ACA qualified/late stage studier or Qualified by Experience with at least 5 years' experience in a similar Senior/Client Accountant role working for a UK based accountancy practice.
  • Strong practical exposure to statutory accounts production, corporate and personal tax submissions.
  • Proficient in the use of various accounting software packages to ideally include CCH, Sage50, XERO, and Quickbooks. Training will be provided where required.
  • Excellent communications skills and confident in engaging with clients over the phone and in meetings.
