Our client are focused on principal investing, advisory and wealth solutions and hold a key presence across the market. They will be offering an immediate start to the successful candidate along with flexible hybrid working.
Description
As Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Will handle a wide range of responsibilities, as this is the sole finance role within the company.
- Requires collaboration with teams in both the UK and overseas to support business operations across these locations.
- Responsible for group accounting and reporting, covering approximately 6-7 key entities.
- Manages accounts payable and receivable across all group bank accounts and entities.
- Oversees banking operations primarily through HSBC Net, including setting up and maintaining an approval process for payments.
- Records financial transactions in Xero; prior experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential if proficient in similar accounting software.
- Conducts monthly reconciliations and prepares financial reports for each group entity.
- Works closely with UK VAT and Corporate Tax advisors, providing necessary financial data via Xero for quarterly VAT returns and annual corporate tax filings.
- Prepares HK SFC FRR reports; while this is a requirement, it is a straightforward process that does not require specialist knowledge.
- Compiles annual financial statements for all group entities and liaises with PwC for year-end audits.
- Supports the UK business by reconciling marketing spend for client accounts.
Profile
- Will hold one of the completed qualifications - ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Will be immediately available to start this role or on a reduced notice period
- Will ideally hold up to 5 years of industry experience
- Must ideally come from a Financial Services industry background
- The ability to step into a role which requires a variety of responsibilities so the ability to multitask and excel under pressure is desirable
