With a reputation for providing exceptional service to their clients, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Accounts Senior in a supportive environment, offering a chance to make a real impact within the practice.

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client’s practice. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to manage accounts preparation with minimal guidance. This is a hands-on role that requires someone experienced and confident in all aspects of accounts preparation, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and analytical reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review final accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and analytical review
  • Prepare Corporation Tax computations
  • Liaise directly with clients to discuss accounts, address queries, and provide expert advice
  • Prepare working papers and financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Handle reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all accounts
  • Support the Manager as required and take ownership of your workload
  • Provide high-quality service and ensure all client needs are met with attention to detail

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in accounts preparation
  • Ability to work independently and confidently without the need for constant supervision
  • Proven experience in preparing balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and analytical reviews
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and resolve queries
  • Proficient in Excel (advanced level)
  • Experience with Iris, VT+, Xero, Sage (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
