- PQ/FQ accountant with broad experience in SME finance
- Proven experience within the retail fashion industry or a comparable field.
- Solid expertise in VAT regulations and managing tax compliance.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, ensuring all financial records are accurate and fully compliant with industry regulations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, providing key insights and variance analysis to guide decision-making.
- Oversee VAT returns and work closely with external auditors to finalise year-end accounts.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, ensuring financial resources are effectively allocated across the business.
- Take ownership of the budgeting process and financial forecasting, delivering regular reports on financial performance and KPIs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and help the business achieve its objectives.
- You are part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification).
- You have solid experience in a finance role, preferably within the retail or fashion sector or a similar SME environment.
- You have a strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting.
- You are well-versed in VAT regulations and tax compliance, ensuring the business remains fully compliant.
- You possess excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can take the initiative to drive improvements.
- You are proficient in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks and can use these tools to streamline processes.
