A prestigious international family office has recently expanded and added a new consulting entity to their business in London. This is a pivotal role for the business as they look to hire a Senior Accountant to build and lead their finance operations from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first hires in their new UK office, shaping the finance function, implementing processes and ensuring the smooth financial management of this growing entity.

Based in the heart of London, this is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for everything from bookkeeping to strategic financial analysis and work side by side with the CFO to build out a successful high performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the finance operations from bookkeeping to reconciliations and controls
  • Prepare accurate journal entries and ensure timely, compliant VAT returns.
  • Provide expert analysis and support to develop robust budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Tackle cash flow management challenges with strategic insights and solutions.
  • Ensure precise and compliant financial reporting, leveraging your expertise in international business practices.
  • Work seamlessly with European teams to support cross-border financial operations.
  • Design and implement efficient finance systems

What We're Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ideally from a practice background
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally a family office with a strong understanding of VAT, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, with a focus on international business.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable with autonomy that can build processes from the ground up
