Our client is a rapidly growing trading house and market leader in the industry well known for being number one in what they do. A opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the team in a permanent capacity.
About the Role
The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in the Group’s financial reporting. The Group has multicurrency transactions and multiple foreign currency subsidiaries.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Help oversee all accounting functions in the business
• Ensure all accounting records are completed on a timely basis
• Help drive Business-as-Usual process improvements
• Assist in upgrading systems and processes
Secondary Responsibilities:
To assist the Group Financial Controller and Group CFO in all aspects of:
• Day-to-day accounting operations, including, but not limited to: Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition
• Reporting variances to budgets/forecasts
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Monthly and annual analysis relating to results, trends and forecasts
• Making sure reporting meets compliant standards with statutory law and financial regulations
• Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
• Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems
• Management of cash flow
• Supervising staff
• Statutory audit process and liaising with external personnel where required
• Supporting the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes
The ideal candidate will have:
Professional Accounting Qualification - ACA, CIMA, ACCA, Qualified
Minimum of 5 years PQE (essential)
Be an ambitious individual
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferably trained from a top 20 Audit Firm.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across a range of seniorities.
Flexibility and adaptability to support different areas of the Finance team, and attention to detail.
