Role Overview:

My client are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their esteemed team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accountancy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. You will play a pivotal role in preparing financial accounts, producing tax returns, delivering advisory services, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing management and financial accounts: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management and financial accounts.
  • Producing VAT and corporation tax returns: Handle the preparation and submission of VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Identifying and delivering advisory services: Provide value-added services such as financial modelling, costing projects, outsourced Financial Controller roles, cloud accounting and systems support, technical reports, and corporate and personal tax planning.
  • Participating in business development activities: Engage in initiatives to attract and retain clients, contributing to the firm's growth.
  • Coaching and developing junior members of the team: Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality output.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified: Demonstrated expertise and qualifications in accounting.
  • Accounts preparation experience: Experience gained from within a fast-paced accountancy practice environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport with people at various levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organisational skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and working well under pressure.
