My client, a renowned FMCG business with a global presence, are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong VAT and Tax knowledgge to join their finance function based in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work side by side with the CFO as alongside other senior members of the finance team.

This is a hybrid role based in London paying up to £60,000 + car allowance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior members of the team, including the CFO
  • Working alongside reporting team ensuring all pension information provided has been correctly inputted into tax computations
  • Get involved with the management accounts, consolidations and accruals where necessary
  • Keeping abreast of legislative tax developments and proactively assessing impact on UK direct Tax affairs
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all corporate, sales, and other tax returns
  • Oversee and manage VAT compliance, reporting, and filing obligations for multiple jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance and accounting teams, to provide tax guidance and support on various business initiatives
  • Monitoring and continually optimising key control processes and governance frameworks for the UK and international operation

Requirements:

  • CTA/ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong finance experience in practice and industry
