We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Accountant to join our team in London.

In a nutshell, you'll be responsible for monthly management accounts and for all Clarion's Commercial and Development entities. You'll also be the business partner and first point of contact for Development Entity ASPS.

You'll perform and enhance monthly checks to ensure that the project ledger remains update to date as well as produce and review balance sheet reconciliations as directed and to take any follow up actions as requested. A key part of this role involves assisting the development of financial systems including ERP, resolve the development spend reporting and re-implementation of Project Ledger.

Other duties include:

  • Preform in the monthly and quarterly reconciliations at project level between Panwin System, Sales, Handover, General and Project Ledger

  • Demonstrate an acute attention to detail and investigatory nature towards all processing, reconciliation and reporting duties. Ensure data is reviewed and discrepancies rectified on a timely basis.

  • Produce reports and monthly commentary for Development Spend for inclusion in monthly management and Board packs.

  • Prepare monthly development intercompany recharges and ensure invoices are cleared prior to month end.

  • Take lead for the year-end tasks such as providing audit requests and inputting information into the statutory accounting process for all Clarion's Commercial and Development entities.

  • Deputise and line manage the three Development Accountants in absence of Senior Development Finance Manager.

We're looking for a qualified Accountant with relevant financial accounting experience as well as experience of working in an accounting/finance department or similar environment. You'll have acute attention to detail with strong investigatory skills with up to date accounting knowledge of project accounting in FRS102 and SORP for RPs.

Excellent communication skills will be key in the role and you'll be confident dealing with a variety of queries both internally and externally. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will change as we operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
