Due to growth from recent internaitonalisation into the Swiss market, we are seeking to grow our internal finance team. The role of the Senior Financial Accountant will be to manage the integirty of the group's P&L, balance sheet and cash flow. In addition, to ensure that tax and financial compliance activities for the group entities are complied with accordingly. The role is based in our London office and paying £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus + flexible working model.About the Role: Oversight of accounting processes
  • Oversight over outsourced transactional finance function to ensure financial results are accurately prepared and management account deadlines are met
  • Development of accounting policies and procedure documents to be in line with relevant country GAAP
  • Management of foreign exchange balances across all group entities
Statutory financial reporting
  • Develop year-end process & timetable and implement to ensure statutory accounts for 11 entities are filed accurately and on time in their local jurisdictions
  • Manage the annual audit process and deliver audited statutory group accounts for signing by 30 June
  • Preparation of underlying schedules supporting the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts suitable for audit purposes
  • Own the group consolidation, ensuring this is accurately prepared across 11 entities and 4 currencies
Tax compliance
  • Liaise with outsourced tax accountants in Switzerland, USA and Ireland to ensure local sales taxes and corporate taxes are filed and paid on time
  • Review VAT returns produced by the outsourced accountants
Balance sheet management
  • Design balance sheet risk assessment and use this to review and rectify balance sheet reconciliations produced by the outsourced accountants
  • Management of the intercompany matrix ensuring intercompany balances net off correctly
  • Monitor reserves to inform decisions taken around dividends and shareholder participation
  • Perform monthly review of balance sheet and cash flow statement for presentation to Finance Director
Processes and controls
  • Implement improved controls around procurement, supplier payments and accounts payable
  • Develop the functionality of NetSuite to automate and ensure greater efficiency
  • Develop a payment calendar to assist with treasury/cash flow management
About you:
  • Part qualified or Newly qualified + 1 yr in industry
  • Experience with group consolidations, intercompany and foreign exchange
  • NetSuite experience desirable but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
