Altum Consulting are exclusively working with a global advertising agency to source a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health and transparency of the organisation, working closely with senior management and external auditors.

Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements (e.g., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable accounting standards.
    • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
    • Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and regulations, assessing their impact on the company's financial reporting.
    • Perform complex financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to identify and explain fluctuations in financial results.
    • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting, ensuring proper audit trails.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • ACA or ACCA professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, preferably in a publicly traded company.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in preparing and analysing financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
