Private Credit Fund Controller - Projects (6-Month Contract)

Our client, a leading Private Credit firm, is seeking an experienced consultant with a background as a Fund Controller to oversee key finance-related projects. This role will focus on setting up fund accounting and operational administration for new funds, setting up fund accounting structures, requiring strong technical expertise and project management skills.

  • Duration: 6 months +
  • Day Rate £600-£750 per day via umbrella, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid Working

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead fund accounting onboarding and fund structuring projects, ensuring seamless transitions and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal finance, operations, and legal teams to design and implement optimal accounting structures for new and existing funds.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Act as the bridge between finance, external providers and technology teams, ensuring systems are aligned with fund accounting needs.
  • Provide strategic input on financial reporting, fund operational setup, and regulatory considerations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to fund transitions and accounting structures.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading fund accounting transitions or implementing new fund structures.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA)
  • Familiarity with closed ended private credit assets, partnership accounting, waterfall models, and investor allocations.
  • Strong understanding of Luxembourg fund jurisdictions.
  • Experience of managing and implementing projects.
