I have been retained by a dynamic and fast-growing Mining business based in central London, to recruit a technically strong Senior Group Accountant. In this newly created role; the Senior Group Accountant will have a broad remit - working closely with the Head of Financial Reporting to prepare the consolidated financial statements and ensure robust compliance across the Group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse key financial data from regional teams to contribute to the consolidations for the Group
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in a timely and accurate manner; ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
  • Implementation and management of financial reporting templates for reports on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial reporting processes
  • Support statutory audit process
  • Ensure SOX compliance
  • Participate in multiple ad-hoc projects on a regular basis

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Strong technical skillset
  • Experience or an interest in Mining / Resources / similar industry
  • Drive and ambition!
