Senior Management Accountant
Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50 - 60,000 plus benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a dynamic and growing hospitality business on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will have the chance to step into a fast-paced, multi-site environment and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of preparing and analysing periodic financial reports, producing accurate profit and loss accounts, and providing insightful commentary. You will address queries from across the business and support key stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making and driving the company’s continued success.
Your responsibilities will include producing periodic drafts and final profit and loss accounts, along with detailed variance commentary for the Finance Controller. You will promptly resolve any P&L queries from the wider business and collaborate with budget holders to review their accounts, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will assist with the period-end and year-end processes, ensuring that accurate figures and comprehensive commentary are delivered on time.
Supporting the Finance Controller, you will help with periodic balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. A key part of the role will also involve introducing and monitoring robust controls and processes to ensure efficient financial operations, while supporting the training and development of the Accounts Payable team.
To succeed in this role, you should be a qualified or soon to qualify accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). You will have solid experience in month-end reporting and the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the hospitality sector and possess the ability to clearly communicate variances, opportunities, and risks in a timely manner.
Proficiency in Excel is essential, and experience with financial systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, would be advantageous. This role requires adaptability to fast-paced environments, a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced professional to make a tangible impact while contributing to the ongoing success of a supportive and innovative team. If you are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding interim role, we would love to hear from you.
