One of my highly reputable law firm clients are looking to recruit a Senior Management Accounts Assistant which will will sit in the Reporting and Analysis team. This is an amazing opportunity for somebody who has some experience in Management Accounts and is looking to further develop their skills in this area.This Senior Management Accounts Assistant will focus primarily on the international reporting requirements of the global group. Further responsibilities include -

  • Supporting the International Management Accountant to prepare overseas P&Ls, Balance Sheets and Cashflows on a monthly basis.
  • Assisting with posting of accruals and prepayments and other recurring journals for the Overseas offices.
  • Supporting the year end statutory reporting processes for the international offices and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Assisting with the global annual budget process.
  • Responsibility for maintenance of the global fixed asset register through to calculation and posting of depreciation.
  • Assistance with reconciliation of overseas balance sheets including intercompany reconciliations including preparation and posting of any inter-office charges.
  • Assisting with actual vs budget variance reporting for Business resource budget holders and overseas office managers and posting of any corrections required.
  • 3e general ledger enquiries - dealing with email queries, running detailed reports and generating subsequent journals.
  • Reviewing expense nominal ledger codes and amending costs as appropriate.
  • Providing budget holders with information of spend actual against budget.
  • Assistance with the maintenance of the general ledger structure within the 3e accounting system.
  • Support maintenance of authority levels document, Reed & Mackay travel codes and Rendezvous codes.
  • Supporting the rest of the Reporting & Analysis team, on other ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

To be successful in this Senior Management Accounts Assistant role you must have -

  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
  • Numerate and with high attention to detail
  • Excel skills
  • Experience of using Finance applications or a willingness to learn new tools
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Highly motivated individual who will be able to deal effectively with conflicting requirements
  • Confident and enthusiastic
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a good team player
  • Willingness to learn and develop
