We are working with a global managing agent to ensure they hire a hardworking Senior Service Charge Accountant on a three to six month fixed term contract, in their Residential Accounts Team in London.

The role involves reconciling various legacy service charge accounts, providing explanations for any differences and extracting supporting information from the system.

They offer a hybrid working schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home, their working hours are 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Day to day:

  • Review legacy service charge accounts on portfolios that have been transferred to new managing agents.
  • Liaise with the new managing agent to address queries and discuss potential resolutions.
  • Coordinate with internal Knight Frank teams to gather supporting information and historical context for each property.
  • Contact suppliers as needed to request copy invoices or explanations for specific expenditures.
  • Review and validate apportionment schedules, ensuring the rationale and application align.
  • Compare actual expenditures against the budget, investigating any significant variances.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with APB System or Qube is advantageous.

  • Block service charge experience.

  • Must have an understanding/experience with block management and the finances of them.

  • Effective written and verbal communication.

  • Intermediate Excel and Word proficiency.

  • Competence in Microsoft Outlook.

  • Strong team player.

  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
