Reporting to senior finance professionals and working closely with colleagues in property management finance, this position is diverse, incorporating company and service charge accounting alongside other ad-hoc duties. It provides the successful candidate with exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities. Below is an outline of key duties:
Purchase Ledger- Producing payment runs for contractors.
- Ensuring the accuracy of contractor ledgers.
- Communicating directly with suppliers via email and telephone.
- Resolving contractor queries and keeping accounting systems up to date.
- Managing arrears for a specific portfolio of clients.
- Reporting on arrears in monthly management meetings.
- Performing credit control duties, including liaising directly with tenants/occupiers via email and telephone regarding outstanding payments and invoice queries.
- Preparing and issuing service charge documentation to tenants/occupiers as required.
- Conducting bank reconciliations for assigned client portfolios.
- Overseeing the governance of notional accounts within the portfolio.
- Supporting senior finance team members with ad-hoc banking tasks.
- Answering incoming calls as a secondary contact for the finance team.
- Assisting with service charge accounting when required.
- Carrying out additional duties as agreed with senior management.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
- AAT qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the property industry is beneficial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software; knowledge of Grosvenor Systems "Propman" is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Confidence and proactivity in contributing to a small team environment.
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
- Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility during peak periods.
