Job Specification:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting to senior finance professionals and working closely with colleagues in property management finance, this position is diverse, incorporating company and service charge accounting alongside other ad-hoc duties. It provides the successful candidate with exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities. Below is an outline of key duties:

Purchase Ledger
  1. Producing payment runs for contractors.
  2. Ensuring the accuracy of contractor ledgers.
  3. Communicating directly with suppliers via email and telephone.
  4. Resolving contractor queries and keeping accounting systems up to date.
Sales Ledger
  1. Managing arrears for a specific portfolio of clients.
  2. Reporting on arrears in monthly management meetings.
  3. Performing credit control duties, including liaising directly with tenants/occupiers via email and telephone regarding outstanding payments and invoice queries.
  4. Preparing and issuing service charge documentation to tenants/occupiers as required.
Banking
  1. Conducting bank reconciliations for assigned client portfolios.
  2. Overseeing the governance of notional accounts within the portfolio.
  3. Supporting senior finance team members with ad-hoc banking tasks.
General Responsibilities
  1. Answering incoming calls as a secondary contact for the finance team.
  2. Assisting with service charge accounting when required.
  3. Carrying out additional duties as agreed with senior management.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in the property industry is beneficial.
Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software; knowledge of Grosvenor Systems "Propman" is a plus.

Compensation and Hours
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
