  • The successful candidate will provide accurate financial reporting and support the Finance team while ensuring compliance with current regulatory standards.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Statutory Accountant to join a growing and fast-paced Energy company based in Central London. This is an immediate start for an experienced Finance professional to work on a short-time interim basis, for approximately 3 x months. A competitive day rate is on offer and travel to their offices in London Bridge is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Technically strong accountant with up-to-date knowledge of auditing and statutory reporting (including consolidations) VAT and tax
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring external financial reporting compliance
  • Produce accurate financial accounts in accordance with current regulatory and professional standards (IFRS / FRS 101)
  • Strong management accounting background, you will assist with month end and business as usual processes including journal posting & accounts reconciliation
  • Proficient in use of Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
  • Become a key contact for coordinating audit deliverables.
  • Ensure that accounting implications of key contracts are understood and impact of changes to accounting standards
  • Build close working relationships with the Finance team, external advisors and intercompany partners
  • Work across the organisation's structure, providing support to those that need it and obtaining information when it is required
  • Strive for continuous process improvements

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in industry
  • Relevant and recent working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is a must
  • Experience working with audits and providing support for auditors
  • Tax compliance experience (track record processing VAT, PAYE and CIS would be preferred)
  • Excellent eye for detail & accuracy
  • A confident self-starter who can add value immediately
